HATE WAR

HATE War? Whataya doing about it?

I had to publish this blog today because of the new blog on Myspace about Iran this blog was actually written in 2007.

I noticed reading a blog today there was a President Bush’s.
Simple survey question: Like him or not click here

The economy for the most part is doing well.
Gas prices keep rising but not his fault.
Let’s face it – he put us into a War we can not win.
Do not compare this to Vietnam please.
My son is in Iraq he is a marine. Pray he comes home safe.
Different times a different generation. What happened to the hippies?
Were they not a peace loving everything is groovy, pacifist laid back crowd?
In the 1960s they were frequently called "pot-smoking long-haired sex-crazed hippies."
No wonder why I am the quirky, eccentric Joe.
I did too much LSD in the 60’s
(just kidding)

Driving to work today I heard this song:
There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I've got to beware
Think it's time we stopHey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
So much resistance from behind
Think it's time we stopHey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
What a field day for the heat
A thousand people standing in the street
Singing songs and carrying the signs,
Oh noThey mostly say "hooray for our side"
We've got to stop Hey, What's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
Step outta line the men come and shoot you down
Think it's time we stopHey, what's that sound
Hey, hey, hey we've got to stop and take a look around
No, no, yeah stop, hey, what's that sound
hey, hey, heyWe've got to stop and take a look around
Think it's time we stopHey,
what's that soundLook what's going down yeah, yeah, yeah

In the 60’s there was much public unrest.
I will not bore you with a history lesson here.
IF you are curious, check out this link for some
Quick historical comparisons of the 60’s and Iraq today

No I write this blog today because I can, we are different
than yesterday’s generations,
Freedom of speech has never been Greater than it is today
We have the ability to reach people around the world with our opinions on things.

Myspace is my doorway to express my Opinion on things.
Why doesn’t the youth of American make signs and banners?
Use the power of the people to the Protest the WAR?
Has it come down to clicking a button on an internet pole about the president?

The House passed H.R. 2956, calling for the beginning of a troop withdrawal from Iraq.
What if every person between the ages of 18 and 24, made a sign
That said PULLOUT of Iraq.
Do you think it would make a difference?

Just a footnote of sorts - Our policymakers should take the trouble to understand what happened in our own country 40 years ago, then we have a much better chance at understanding what's happening in Iraq today, and what we should do about it.
Funny thing about being old.
History does repeat itself; lessons can be learned from it.
We can not change the past, but we can learn from it.
I might get more than 4 people who will read my blog today.
But this blog should be in the top 10 on Myspace.

Do you know of any one in IRAQ?
take 10 seconds and simply Pray for them.
God keep my son safe - Amen!
